GCC Secretary General welcomes the opening of air, sea, and land borders between Saudi Arabia and Qatar
4 January 2021, Riyadh: The below is a statement from H.E. Dr. Nayef Falah Al-Hajraf, Secretary General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC) on the opening of air, sea, and land borders between Saudi Arabia and Qatar.
“Earlier today the Kuwait Foreign Affairs Minister Mr. Ahmad Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Sabah announced that the air, sea, and land borders between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the State of Qatar will re-open as of this evening. The announcement came after a call by The Amir of Kuwait H.H. Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah with his brothers the HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Amir of Qatar, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.”
